Excerpt from her obit
An examination proved that she was suffering from appendicitis and an operation was performed Wednesday afternoon. Although the operation was successful it was too late to save the young life so dear to home circle and friends. Perforation of the appendix had already taken place and death came at about 11 o'clock on Saturday night. She attended the public schools here and graduated from the High school last June with high honors. In September she accepted a position to teach in Dist. No. 4 of the town of Marshfield and was earnest and faithful in her work.
